HELPING HANDS PROGRAM

Helping Hands. Caring Hearts.

The Helping Hands Program is designed to assist households that face challenges in obtaining grocery items and toiletries. We deliver non-perishable items, loaves of bread and toiletries to households in a reusable shopping bag. Within some of these packages, there are also other health supplies to encourage grooming and self-care. Helping Hands is sustained by committed and compassionate volunteers and by the generous contributions of donors.

Mission:

We aim to provide basic items to those in need regardless of their circumstances. We are committed to improving the quality of life and protecting the dignity of those we serve.

Objectives:

  • Reach 300 households in New Providence within 12 months of the launch of Phase I of Helping Hands

  • Expand program to external islands including Grand Bahama, Abaco, Andros and Cat Island. Our goal is to reach 75 households per island within 24 months

  • Expand the program to include the delivery of hot meals to homeless individuals in Abaco, Andros, Cat Island, Grand Bahama and New Providence. Our goal is to reach 100 people per quarter.
